What’s your position?

Team captain as well as mechanical work stream captain

How long have you been in robotics?

Five Years.

How is robotics helping you in the world?
I am working on becoming a mechanical engineer so this has been providing a ton of experience and will help when applying for internships, school, and for future jobs.

What skills have you learned from robotics?

I’m learning a lot of stuff from being able to manage a team, managing a project, to hands-on learning of how to build things, how to work with all sorts of different tools.

Do you think robotics is going to have an influence on your future career?
Definitely, especially with going into a STEM based career; this is a lot of STEM learning. I’ve gone to several conventions and a lot of the companies have been like “when we see robotics on their resume, we immediately hire them. We don’t even interview them.”.

Would you recommend robotics?
Definitely. It’s a great experience.
